Terms of use
DRAFT · LAST UPDATED 11 OCTOBER 2026
These terms cover this website and the Genry app for iPhone. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
Draft notice. Genry has not been released and these terms have not been reviewed by a lawyer. They will be finalized before the app is published.
Who we are
Genry is made by Genry Studio B.V. Contact: hello@genry.app.
Using Genry
You may use Genry for your own personal purposes.
You are responsible for what you save. Genry holds notes about other people, so please use it the way you would want someone to use it about you, and follow the law where you live on recording and storing information about others.
Do not try to break, reverse-engineer, or resell the app, and do not use it to harass anyone or to store unlawful material.
Your content is yours
Everything you put into Genry stays yours. We claim no ownership of it and no license to use it, beyond what is technically required to provide the features you turn on: syncing it to your own devices, running the cloud model on it if you choose that model, and letting an assistant you have connected read it. How your information is handled is described in the privacy policy.
Backups and loss
Local data is excluded from iPhone backups by design. Keep your own exported backup file. If you lose your phone, delete the app, or forget the password protecting an exported backup, that data cannot be recovered — not by you and not by us.
What we do not promise
Genry is provided as it is. AI-generated details can be wrong or incomplete, which is why every one of them links back to the note it came from and can be corrected or deleted. Do not rely on Genry as a system of record for anything that matters legally, medically, or financially.
We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Ending it
You can stop using Genry at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may end access if these terms are seriously broken.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live.
Changes
Changes will be posted here with a new date.
